UVBEP Rebrands as Careers CLiC
The Upper Valley Business and Education Partnership is excited to announce its new name, Careers CLiC. This change reflects the organization’s mission in guiding K-12 students through the continuum of career development by connecting schools and employers in our communities. Careers CLiC programs build career awareness for elementary students, provide career exploration opportunities for middle school students and give work-based learning options for high school students.
Careers CLiC has nearly 20 years of experience as a regional and statewide provider of youth workforce development services. These services have connected 17,127 students from 72 schools with 950 employers across Vermont and New Hampshire. More than 530 educators have participated in Careers CLiC professional training related to student career development.
Careers CLiC will continue its direct-service programming for K-12 schools in the greater Upper Valley region of New Hampshire and Vermont, established with leadership support from Dartmouth College, Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, the Hypertherm HOPE Foundation, Novo Nordisk and TomTom. The organization is also expanding programs and providing training to schools and employers throughout Vermont with funding from the Federal GEAR UP Program through the Vermont Student Assistance Corporation, the J. Warren and Lois McClure Foundation at the Vermont Community Foundation and the Next Generation Fund through the Vermont Department of Labor.
